This filter has a special 'divider' in the core and replaces both the standard 75 sq ft filter cartridge (6540-501)and the 5" disposable micro-clean element (6540-502) of a SUNDANCE® SPAS filter.
 
Without this divider the pumps at either end will soon overheat and cease.
Many people have found this to be a far more cost effective option since it avoids having to replace the micro-clean element every couple of months.
 
The filter has a male slip 55mm outside diameter
